Dear Prospective Families,
A very warm welcome from The Waldorf School of Philadelphia. Thank you for considering our school for the education of your child. During the admissions process, we want to help you discover what is unique about Waldorf education and about The Waldorf School of Philadelphia in particular. Likewise, we would like to gain an insight into how you as parents view your child. With this in mind, the process of admissions is thorough and helps provide prospective families such as yourselves the opportunity to gain an experience of our school.
There are a number of ways in which you can learn about our school. Our website is full of information about our school, its values and its curriculum both for the Early Childhood Programs and for the Grades School. If you are interested to learn more, you are strongly encouraged to attend one of our regularly scheduled Open Houses, Observation Mornings or by arranging an individual tour. Please use this visit as an opportunity to ask questions, view the work of our students, observe the children at work and at play and to meet some of our parents. Please visit the Open House page of this website for full details of Admissions related events.
Our school is a wonderfully rich, vibrant learning community of which we are very proud. At The Waldorf School of Philadelphia, teachers and children alike apply themselves with enormous energy to create a place where wonder can flourish and where the love of life-long learning is embraced.
Come see for yourself why Waldorf education is one of the fastest growing movements in the world.
I look forward to meeting you,
Alexandra Borders
